No secret to anybody I am into a synthy jam. Lo-fi high-fi, fast slow I consume a lot of synthy tunes. From everything I heard this track doesn't do well to separate itself from the bulk of what I have already heard. Maybe if it came out in 2008 instead of three months ago I would have been a little more impressed. Unfortunately trends in music come and go, and this song seems to have been left out of the loop.
I want to end cap that I do not think this is a bad song. It is well made/structured. The sounds are pleasing to the ear. For this stubborn jerk though it is just not doing anything for me.

This is definite vapor-y new wave-y synth wave-y chill wave-y mood. A whole lotta waves going on here.
In all seriousness, it’s a lighthearted tune that dives into some sort of retail / consumerist / love lorn angst. It’s totally vanilla but also sort of nauseating after listening to it too much — a very similar experience to smelling all the vanilla candles at Bath and Body Works in the mall.

I’m having a bit of a hard time getting a read on this song. It’s synth, but not like the kind steeped in 80s conventions or that energized modern kind. Usually a lack of musical variation is made up for by vocals or vice versa, but neither part really did it for me. It just feels too nondescript and homogenized, which actually works though cause then it’s got that in common with a mall. Or that might explain why it doesn’t resonate with me cause I don’t like malls. It’s not obtrusive or anything, just meh.

This song is clean. We start strong with an 80s synthy beat and then the melodic voice keeps us right there. The song gets more addicting as it goes and then the peak of our addiction comes with the chorus, the way he runs all the words together and the cadence of his voice, I’m an addict. Just a classic track.

Very dreamy synth track. Vocals and song arrangement is sharp as a tack. They remind me of some of my favorite 80's bands like "Tears for Fears" or "Simple Minds". This is one I wished was an album to review instead of just a single. Definitely left me wanting more.

This track has a very familiar sound to it. The vocals work well with the music. I had to peek at Meg M’s review, to see that what my ear was recognizing was “80’s Synthy Beat. Thank you Meg. The track is enjoyable i could easily see it used in a John Hughs movie with the Brat Pack. Maybe in a Mall scene, after a teen romance break up.
Some Kinda Wonderful
