Show me your music taste and I’ll show you who you are. While that’s not the saying verbatim, it should be, and it rings true for Puma Blue. Listening and watching Puma Blue is like watching a kaleidoscope unfold right before your eyes. Their fanbase mimics their music.  As a melting pot of shivering music enthusiasts wrapped around the bounds of the Market Hotel and the bodega and bared the cold, one couldn’t be sure what kind of concert you’re about to attend. This London based multi-disciplinary and his band come to warm us up with ballads, lo-fi, and jazz tunes.

The performance was mesmerizing.  With the quaint upstairs performance area, Puma Blue managed to deliver a transformative experience. Unlocking the doors to their fans' hearts in real time you can catch the audience falling in love, going further in self-discovery, letting go, and living. Puma Blue leads his audience effortlessly, facilitating all these things in two to three-minute frames within songs.

It is entrancing, loving, trippy, fun, and if you’re really sucked into the show it a feeling of being free washes over you.

The love and vulnerability exhibited by the strumming of the guitar and the sweet melody of Puma Blue’s voice served as a mirror and we the crowd were happy to give that energy right back to him. Suddenly like his geological position, far in distance but close in the heart, the influences of Radiohead to D’Angelo to Dilla are clear. The crowd flowed from being in awe with deep appreciation to singing along with lyrics like meditation chants.
