Lake Ruth
Meet Lake Ruth
OKAY. Full disclosure I really like this band. I can get behind some serious baroque psych dream pop, and this trio serves it up on a lavish gold platter. Allow me to introduce Lake Ruth, a band with a peculiar and charming name that makes equally peculiar and charming music.
Below, we chat with these sonic superstars about the best hangover cure (Sobriety! Who knew.), where to find Warsaw’s pierogoies (fried or steamed?), and all the nitty gritty that keeps them making music.
Press play, get thee some ukranian foods, and have a grand old time.
BULL FIGHTING A Mad-Lib by, Lake Ruth
Bullfighting is a STICKY sport which is very popular on THE MOON. A bullfighter is called a matador, and his equipment consists of a long, sharp SNARE DRUM THAT MATT LEFT IN MY CAR also called a HECK and a bright red LONG-JOHNS. He waves his LONG-JOHNS at the bull, which makes the bull TEMPORAL and causes him to charge. The matador then goes through a series of TURGID maneuvers to avoid getting caught on the bull's RUMPUS. If the matador kills the bull, the spectators yell, "NERD FACE!" and throw their SHOVELS into the ring. If the bull wins, they yell "OOH-LA-LA!" and call for another matador. Bullfighting is a very PUNGENT sport, but it will never be popular in America because Americans don't believe in cruelty to CACTI.
Would You Rather
be trapped in a dark closet with a swan or a scorpion? Please explain why.
Matt: A scorpion. swans are BIG and mean. scorpions are small and just trying to survive.
Hewson: I think it would be pretty rad to ride around on a swan tho', what if they made little saddles? it would be pretty badass to emerge from said closet riding the swan.
Allison: Terrified of scorpions so taking my chances with the swan.
