Some questions with Faine

Hi, nice to meet you. Can you tell me a little about the project? Who is Faine?

I'm Faine. We’re Faine. He, she, they, YOU'RE Faine. We’re a three-piece, all/alt independent band out of New York. Felix (drums, guitar, vocals), Kevin (guitar, drums, vocals), and Mario (BASS).

What were you listening to or what inspired you musically when working on your self titled release?

MGMT, The Bottles, Please Please Kiss Me, Liily, Mirvono, Snake Eyes, Interpol, The Strokes, and Danke Schone by Wayne Newton

What was the last thing you bought that you regret?

Felix: The Oculus Quest 2

Kevin: Great Value PB&J Sandwich (Wasn’t a great value)

Mauro: Hifi ear plugs

How do you feel about the album now that you finished?

Felix says he can’t hear it, Kevin and Mario say "!Come to Brasil!"

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Felix: Kevin’s hiccups

Kevin: Always being late and Marshall amps,

Mauro: Loud chewing and hitting my quotas

If you had control of all bats on the earth what would you do with them?

Vengeance (Morbin’)

Where are you most comfortable?

Felix: Korea

Mauro: In the bath

Kevin: When he’s faine

The release leans more into darker nosier spaces creating a clearly defined mood throughout. What was the thinking behind this?

We’re just making music that we want to hear ourselves. We play off what is intrinsic to us and what just comes naturally. We want to make our subconscious conscious.
